    The California Teachers Association Economic Benefits Trust (“CTA EBT”) and CTA value the trust and privacy of its participants and other users of this website. This Privacy Policy sets forth CTA and CTA EBT’s practices on this website regarding what, if any, personal information we may collect about you online and also provides some additional information for users of the CTA EBT website.

    As used in this Privacy Policy, the following terms have the meanings indicated below:

    4. The term "CTA EBT’s website" means this website.

    This information is used to help us diagnose technical problems as well as to help us track user interests. We gather this information in the aggregate -- as a total, not linked to individual users -- and the information collected may be shared with the National Education Association and our local affiliates, as well as with certain other reputable organizations that share our interests.

    California residents have a right under state law to ask entities with whom they have an established business relationship to provide certain information regarding the sharing of personal information for direct marketing purposes during the past year. CTA EBT will honor such a request coming from any person who has provided personal information to us in connection with obtaining a product or service.   6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR USERS ABOUT EXTERNAL LINKS

    This Privacy Policy applies only to the CTA EBT website.  It does not cover any websites that are linked to or from the CTA EBT website for which CTA EBT is not responsible ("linked-sites").  The CTA website is such a linked-site for which CTA EBT is not responsible.  These linked sites will have their own policies and practices that may be different from CTA EBT’s.  We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the policies and practices of the linked sites especially if you provide personal information to them.

    For example, please be aware that if you link to the CTA website and sign up for the email newsletter issued by the CTA EBT Investment Program, CTA will receive your email address.  CTA may share that information with the vendor, who assists in operating the Investment Program, and/or use the information for other purposes.

    This Privacy Policy is effective June 27, 2018.  CTA EBT retains the right to amend or otherwise update this Privacy Policy at any time for any reason.  By using the CTA EBT website, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of personal information as described above.  If CTA EBT amends or updates its Privacy Policy, CTA EBT will post the changes online at this website so that you are always aware of CTA EBT’s current practices.  You may also contact CTA EBT at business_initiatives@cta.org or CTA EBT 1705 Murchison Drive, Burlingame, CA 94011 at any time to request an up-to-date hard copy version of the Privacy Policy.
