What is the best way to invest if you are 60 years old? Is it too late to start?

It's not too late for most people, especially given longer life expectancies. You could live another 20 or 30 years! Of course, you probably want to consider a moderate or conservative portfolio rather than investing heavily in stocks. If you are still working, you can sign up for your 403(b) or 457 plan and choose an investment option or options available through the vendors in your district. If you no longer have earned income, you can't open an IRA (unless you have a spouse who is still working), but you can invest in a taxable account through a broker.
